Presupposed Destiny

 In all the humdrum around in bustling areas, people fail to notice many obviously overlooked things. One of them is the wrong notion of everything or everyone put in their thinking of elitism. The notion is that if a person is very talented, he need to fit in a greater walk of life or should not be a 'big fish in a small pond'. While this aspect of their thinking seems to be absolutely true, it is really not.

I once was interviewed by a writing company and they asked me to send a sample article. They gave some silly reason and ruled out my writing altogether. Though I thought that the Company was good, I later found out that there was a dearth or lacking of ample work in it for all the employees. Interestingly, only an article would be written by an employee over a period of few months.

The fact that if I was working there, it would be a struggle to make ends meet for a living made me thankful for the course of my career I chose. I learnt work from an editor and that helped me set a foundation for things helpful over the course of my career.

A person who is good at something need not be in seemingly elite workplaces. All that should be made sure is the period of time work is put into should materialize over the span of his career. All that glitters is not gold!

People do remember favours. But, it depends on whom you lavish a favour on. A materialistic person may ascribe your generosity to things such as money, attire, job or status as important. This casts a shadow on the love you had showered on him regardless of the type of a favour. I can recall an incident in my life wherein the  person was in need of love. He built some sort of escapist tendencies and sought it in a companion who had a sinister design for him. A Deepening Chasm

 Old memories are good. But if they bring something of a troubled present, these emotions of yore feel rather unpleasant and one feels like less nostalgic whatsoever. This is a prevalent norm- especially in this social media-stricken world. Everybody seems to have a situation like this wherein some old friend has grown into what they don't want to become a party to. This is true.
