Occupational Feistiness

People often ask me as to why I use highfalutin words from my vocabulary everywhere. The reason is the same as to why they wear clothes that reflect the style quotient or make a fashion statement. This way, people please their senses and feel on common ground with their peers or colleagues from their profession. Another reason is that I identify myself with a strata of people who share common opportunities. This makes the endeavour more relatable and work towards it to reach a goal that would otherwise not be possible without such beautiful people. More so, there is a benefit for readers from such a good vocabulary: they learn new words and try to use them in their conversations. Many follow my writing and banter for this. It brings them some joy and good. Spreading cheer is good too. As some highly placed person said, 'everything has a reason'.

The Pursuit of Impeccable English

There is a section of knowledge seekers who go after it in places the same doesn't exist. So much so that the person or presenter they mimic and follow is too less equipped to help them reach the goal. This can be disastrous to their commitment of time invested or model followed. I came across such a situation, wherein people were glued to the television featuring news. The anchor of this tv channel was thought by them as a medium who taught pronunciation and nuances of the English language by the news he presented. This is simply weird as these people are known to blurt out many wrongly pronounced words. The teleprompter wields a few tricks too. It can be argued that the best way to learn pronunciation or spelling or develop a vocabulary is through reading intellectually-acclaimed books. More so, using dictionary and looking up for words helps too. These ways are more infallible than the lone Presenter of a Show.
