Adjudicated Parallels

There are quite a number of writers who dither on the topic of creative freedom in coming up with their work- maybe, articles or books. As the topic is too opaque and is divided, a good number of these professionals come up in mind. Well, in my case, two people can be conjured up. One was inspired by his muse often and other was not. The first one is Khushwanth Singh. He states in his autobiography, 'Truth, love and a little malice' that there was never a time in his whole life at workplace where inspiration came to him of its own accord. The famed writer further goes on to reveal that the deadlines rather than the inspirations forced him to bring up a topic to write. He couldn't even indulge himself in crafting sublime words or phrases or polishing witty remarks for the last five decades of his life. The second being Rabindranath Tagore. Intellectual loneliness is a term that has got a few people to its task. It can be defined as any loneliness of thought or result of actions pertaining to a person's intellectual prowess. The person can be mired in doubts about his success or profundity of them and tend to make his actions like yielding to his muse, mellow. Though this can be seen in his literary works, there can be no great deviation from their quality in the foreground. A large part of this could be seen in the works of the famous poet, Rabindranath Tagore. He was known for his keen intellect and bogged down by this loneliness but never stopped yielding to his muse. He even likened his muse to a divine inspiration. His spiritual thoughts aside, the intellectual loneliness was found in his stand on various issues relating to our country in his time.
