The Tarnishing Phenomenon

People at their workplaces need to be very strict about the kind of colleagues they be with. This, in fact, decides their further course and progress at this job. It even creates an attitude or liking about things such close coworkers can project on them. Good company of colleagues helps to strive and work hard at the office. It also puts one in favour and at par with other sincere, hardworking peers. There was a time when a person was making a mark at a new workplace. As I was close to him, the incident touched me greatly. This person was supposed to work in a team with another peer and this had an effect on him for a  long time. The colleague he worked with was lethargic and used to work as if to evade the attention of his boss. The colleague also used to play games, watch videos and do other unproductive work right under the noses of his employers. He got away with it quite for a while, but not for long. Opportunism: Countering the Art

Everybody commits mistakes in life. The best way to stay out of it is not improvising or being opportunistic, but avoid erring again- altogether. If one does it there is no danger of getting caught the second time. It even does not entail you to come up with excuses. Imagine a scenario wherein your employer catches you red-handed reaching late to office. To deal with this, one can do two things: one, never reach late again, come whatever may; second, improvise on your timings and wait for the right moment to be absent for work or delay again. While your boss may be arriving late to work the next time, it doesn’t mean you won’t get caught. You will end up improvising your whole life and get caught every now and then. It’s for you to decide: never get caught or be mired with opportunism. Which of the options is wise for you? Do not dither, but make a wise move once and for all.

Does Every Move Have A Reason?

There is a wrong notion among people that every action of anyone is driven by a reason. This mentality is pursued more rigorously and these believers try to make out the former's thoughts behind every move. This thinking keeps them busy nevertheless, but  totally misleading. More so , some reasons are not worth revealing when questioned by people in authority. Imagine the sensational nature of it in the workplaces after revealing. I was privy to one such scenario when confronted with my erstwhile interviewer. He asked me the reason behind not answering his calls to join office. It was an insurance office job and payable with commission. Later he blurted out that everything has a reason. Well, in this case, the reason was feigning ignorance and fearing embarrassment. Again, clearly a strong reason. A sound judgment is demanded to tackle these errors. Wisdom wins.
